The GoldenPass Express runs on the direct route between Interlaken and Montreux or vice versa. The trip takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes . The GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque connect Zweisimmen with Montreux or vice versa. The trip takes around 2 hours . The journey between Zweisimmen and Interlaken is by regional train with a change in Spiez, and takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes .

Do the GoldenPass panoramic trains run all year?

Yes, the GoldenPass Express , the GoldenPass Panoramic, and the GoldenPass Belle Époque operate all year . For more detailed information on travel times and possible restrictions on the route, we advise you to consult the current timetable . To secure your seat, we also recommend booking early .

Can I choose the travel times myself?

For travel on the GoldenPass Express , the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque , we will reserve your seats depending on availability and in line with the travel program . It is not possible to select a specific train when booking. However, you can indicate your preferred departure times in the comments field . We will do our best to take these into account, but cannot guarantee them. You are flexible when it comes to your arrival and return journey from your starting point and destination in Switzerland. You can choose your own connections according to the SBB timetable .

Which travel classes are available on the GoldenPass panoramic trains?

In the GoldenPass Express, you have the choice between three travel classes: Prestige class , 1st class, and 2nd class . The main difference between the classes lies in the seating arrangement and comfort. Prestige Class offers a more exclusive experience with heated leather seats , a raised seating position of 40 cm for a better view, and a guaranteed seat in the direction of travel . 1st class offers more legroom and wider seats in a 2+1 seating arrangement for added comfort. In 2nd class, the 2+2 seat arrangement is a little tighter . All travel classes have the same panoramic windows . In the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque , you can choose between 1st and 2nd class . There are twin and quadruple compartments in 1st class, and only quadruple compartments in 2nd class. The GoldenPass Panoramic has the advantage of modern panoramic windows , while the GoldenPass Belle Époque offers a nostalgic travel experience .

Are there catering options on the GoldenPass panorama trains?

In the GoldenPass Express, you have the option of choosing from various regional aperitif platters , which are served with mineral water, wine, or beer. We recommend that you select your preferred menu when you book . The food and drinks will be served directly at your seat . In the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque , catering is only available for groups with advance booking . We recommend that you bring your own snacks and drinks for the trip.
