Bernina Express

As your journey with the Bernina Express will take you through Italian territory, please note the information below regarding entry requirements:

  • All passengers entering the country must have a negative PCR or antigen test. This also applies to vaccinated or recovered persons.
  • Non-vaccinated or recovered persons must comply with a 5-day quarantine in addition to the negative Covid test. For persons outside the EU/EFTA, a quarantine of 10 days is mandatory.
  • The 2G rule applies to the use of restaurants and bars. Thus, access is now only allowed to people who have been vaccinated or cured.
  • All persons entering Italy from abroad must report their arrival by registering on the EU Digital Passenger Locator Form (dPLF).

Glacier Express

Covid-19 - 2G certificate requirement on the Glacier Express.

All guests aged 16 and over must present a 2G Covid certificate valid in Switzerland before starting their journey on the Glacier Express. The certificate documents a Covid vaccination or a recovery. A negative test result is not sufficient. Swiss Covid certificates in digital and paper form as well as all EU certificates of EU / EFTA countries (Greenpass) are accepted. In addition, it is compulsory to wear a mask, except at your seat.
