As part of our efforts to develop sustainable tourism, we are proud to be part of the Swisstainable programme and maintain a close partnership with SBB and Switzerland Tourism. We offer a large number of Swisstainable classified accommodations and promote responsible travel experiences with various Swisstainable special offers. Together, we are committed to environmentally friendly mobility and sustainable travel in Switzerland.

For a special price of 139, 199 or 249 francs per person in a double room you get:
- 2 nights in a double or single room
- Breakfast buffet
- 1x dinner per person (excl. drinks)
- 33% discount on the standard 1st or 2nd class fare for the outward and return journey by public transport
25% discount on public transport travel with over 500 hotels
If you book a hotel participating in the Swisstainable programme, you will receive a 25% discount on the outward and return journey by public transport from 31 May to 31 October 2024.
Tips for sustainable travel in Switzerland
1. Climate-friendly travelling
Travel by public transport such as trains, buses and boats. Switzerland has the densest transport network in the world. You can reach any destination easily and conveniently by public transport. 2. Save energy and resources
Observe energy and water-saving measures in your accommodation, such as switching off lights and electronic devices when not in use and limiting the washing of towels and bed linen.
3. Support local products and businesses
Choose accommodation, restaurants and shops that use local produce and are run by local businesses. This supports the local economy and helps to minimise the environmental impact of transporting products.
4. Respect nature
Make sure you respect the environment while travelling by disposing of rubbish properly, staying on hiking trails and protecting sensitive ecosystems such as mountain lakes and forests. 5. Hiking and cycling
Explore Switzerland in a sustainable way by using hiking and cycling as a means of transport. There are numerous well-marked hiking and cycling trails that take you through breathtaking landscapes while protecting the environment.
6. Reduce plastic consumption
Avoid buying single-use plastic products such as water bottles and use reusable drinking bottles made from materials such as glass or stainless steel instead. Also carry a reusable shopping bag with you to avoid plastic bags.
