This trip combines old and new. You will stay in certified Swiss Historic Hotels, each of which is an original from a different era. Between Filisur and Davos you have the opportunity to experience a ride in the nostalgic rail cars of the Rhaetian Railway, some of which are over 100 years old. In the modern panorama cars of the Bernina Express you will experience a spectacular crossing of the Alps.

Chur - Poschiavo - Davos (or vice versa)

Day 1
Arrival by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Chur. Overnight stay at the Swiss Historic Hotel Stern in Chur.
Highlights: historical old town, Brambrüesch - the local mountain
Day 2
Chur - Poschiavo / approx. 3h 30 min
Travel on the Bernina Express from Chur to Poschiavo. Overnight stay at the Swiss Historic Hotel Albrici in Poschiavo.
Highlights: Highest railroad line over the Alps, Alp Grüm, Lago Bianco, Landwasser Viaduct.
Day 3
Poschiavo - Filisur - Davos / approx. 3 h 15 min (pure travel time)
Journey with regular trains from Poschiavo to Filisur. In Bergün it is worth stopping for a visit to the Albula Railway Museum to learn more about the history and construction of what is probably the most spectacular Alpine railroad in Europe. The last stretch between Filisur and Davos is covered in the historic train composition of the Rhaetian Railway from the 1920s. From mid-May to the end of October, the nostalgic rail cars and open observation cars are usually pulled by the legendary "Crocodile" locomotive (subject to change). Overnight stay at the Swiss Historic Berghotel Schatzalp in Davos.
Highlights: Albula Railway Museum in Bergün, historic train ride between Filisur and Davos, Zügen Gorge, Wiesner Viaduct.
Day 4
Return trip by public transport from Davos to your final destination in Switzerland or extend your stay.
