Day 1
Arrival in Solothurn | Solothurn - Biel
Luggage drop in Solothurn. Short train ride to Oberdorf and by cable car up to Weissenstein, where you reach the Jura Crest Trail. From the roof of Canton Solothurn, with views across the Jura arc to the Mittelland and snow-capped Alps and on through forests and typical Jura meadows. The first third is also a Planetenweg (planet path). Language border at Montagne de Romont.

Day 2
Biel - Le Pâquier
By bus back to Frinvillier and over a pleasant climb up to the Chasseral. A sensational panoramic view and the upward greeting midland lakes please the eye at the highest peak of the Swiss Jura. From the summit transport down to LesBugnenets/Le Pâquier.

Day 3
Le Pâquier - La Chaux-de-Fonds
Now follows a varied hike between the upper St. Imier valley and the Val de Ruz with the winter sports resort of Le Pâquier. From the top of the Vue-des-Alpes pass by bus or taxi to La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Day 4
La Chaux-de-Fonds – Travers/Couvet
By bus or taxi back to the Vue-des-Alpes pass. On the high mountain range with the Tête de Ran and Mont Racine peaks, a magnificent panorama can be enjoyed and the Tablettes rock pulpit allows a breathtaking deep view of Lac de Neuchâtel before the steep descent to Noiraigue.
The Areuse Gorge and the Creux du Van rock arena with the largest nature reserve in the canton of Neuchâtel are the great highlights of the Noiraigue region in the easternmost part of the Val de Travers.

Day 5
Circular hike Creux du Van from Travers/Couvet | Departure
The perspiration at the start of this stage is well worth it: the highlight of the tour is the natural rock amphitheatre of Creux du Van, Swiss equivalent of the Grand Canyon. From the heights you can enjoy wonderful views on the sparkling waters of Lake Neuenburg. Return to Couvet at the end of the hike and individual departure or extension of the stay.

Tour characteristic
Good basic fitness is required for the sometimes steep ascents over the Jura chain. The paths are well developed and easy to walk on. In wet conditions, however, they can be slippery in places.
