Do I have to pay highway tolls in Switzerland?

Yes, in Switzerland you have to buy a so-called vignette to use the highways . This is required for all vehicles driving on the freeways and highways. The vignette is valid for one year and can be purchased either as a sticker at various points of sale such as gas stations or border crossings or online as an E-vignette . There may be additional charges for certain tunnels or car loading points that the vignette does not cover and must be paid separately.
