Media release | 19 September 2024 Brigitte Berger Kurzen is the newest member of the Board of Directors

Switzerland Travel Centre welcomes Brigitte Berger Kurzen as a new member of the Board of Directors. She takes over from Philippe Zurkirchen, who has left the Board after six years at Switzerland's largest tour operator.

Brigitte Berger Kurzen has been elected to the Board of Directors of Switzerland Travel Centre and will represent the interests of HotellerieSuisse on the Board together with the Chairman of the Board, Thomas Allemann. The Bernese Oberland native has been a member of HotellerieSuisse's Executive Board since 2022. As the owner of the Hotel Royal-St. Georges in Interlaken and with her doctorate in law, she brings valuable expertise and new ideas to the Board of Directors of Switzerland Travel Centre. Brigitte Berger Kurzen sees the collaboration on the Board of Directors as a unique opportunity to promote sustainable tourism in Switzerland: "The close cooperation between the hotel industry, national marketing organisation and public transport on the Board of Directors and Shareholders of Switzerland Travel Centre is unique. This collaboration offers us the opportunity to promote and further develop sustainable tourism in a targeted manner."

Brigitte Berger Kurzen replaces Philippe Zurkirchen, who has been a member of the Board of Directors of Switzerland's largest tour operator for the past six years. Thomas Allemann, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is very much looking forward to the future collaboration: "With Brigitte Berger Kurzen, our Board of Directors is gaining an outstanding expert from the hotel industry who brings both in-depth industry knowledge and valuable legal expertise in compliance issues.
