What is the difference between 1st class and Excellence Class?

Excellence Class offers the highest level of comfort and service on the Glacier Express. With a spacious seating arrangement and only 20 seats in the entire train car, you have exclusive access to a bar lounge area , personal concierge service , multi-course menus, and onboard entertainment . First Class already offers plenty of space and privacy , but without the exclusive amenities of Excellence Class. A 1st class ticket is required for both classes, but the seat reservation in Excellence Class is subject to higher costs due to the extended comfort and service.

Where does the Glacier Express start and how do I get from the station to the hotel and vice versa?

The Glacier Express departs from Zermatt and St. Moritz . The route can be started in both directions – the choice is yours. In the booking process , the distance to the respective train station is displayed when you choose a hotel. This allows you to choose nearby accommodation if required. Some hotels offer practical transfer services . For details about the transfer, please contact your hotel .

How far in advance should I book?
