What is the difference between 1st and 2nd class on this journey?

The Palm Express is a postbus journey with only one class – all travellers enjoy the same level of comfort in the same type of seat. The 1st class supplement only applies to regular trains , not to the Palm Express journey. On regular trains, the seats in 1st class offer more legroom and a tables of two and four, while 2nd class has a tighter arrangement of tables of four only.

Can I choose my seat on the Palm Express in advance?

In Palm Express, you can specify your seat preferences during the booking process using the comments field . Depending on availability, it may not always be possible to fulfil your seat preference. We will endeavour to allocate you the best available seat and inform you if a window seat is not available. The view is always impressive, regardless of your seat.

Can I eat on the Palm Express?

There are no catering facilities on board the Palm Express. We recommend buying snacks and drinks before the journey . There is a short stopover in Chiavenna, where you have around 15-20 minutes to buy something, provided there are no delays.

Where does the Palm Express start and how do I get from the railway station to the hotel and back?

The Palm Express runs between St. Moritz and Lugano . The itinerary can be done in both directions – the choice is yours. In the booking process , the distance to the each train station is displayed when you choose a hotel. This allows you to choose nearby accommodation as required. Some hotels offer practical transfer services . For details about the transfer, please contact your hotel directly .

How far in advance should I book?
