Is the Bernese Oberland Pass worth it?

The Bernese Oberland Pass is ideal if you travel a lot in the region, as you benefit from as many journeys as you like on all trains, buses, boats and 25 mountain railways. You also enjoy attractive discounts with 40 partners. The Bernese Oberland Pass gives you access to all the sights in the region.

Children (6-16 years)

Children from 6-15.99 years travel for the fixed price of CHF 30, whether for 3 or for 10 days. Children under 6 years travel free of charge and do not need a ticket. The Junior Card/Children's Co-Travelcard/Swiss Family Card is valid in conjunction with the Regional Pass.

The prices indicated are valid for the year 2023. The desired currency can be freely selected during the booking process. The conversion rate is updated automatically.

Is there a discount for senior citizens?

No, there is no reduction for senior citizens on the Berner Oberland Pass.

Where is the Berner Oberland Pass valid?

  • Trains, buses and boats from Bern, Lucerne, Saanen, Domodossola and the Bernese Oberland are included in the pass. However, seat reservations are not included.
  • Free travel on 25 mountain railways (such as cable cars, funiculars and rack railways).
  • Boat trips on Lakes Thun and Brienz are included in the pass.
  • Attractive discounts and reductions are available from 40 bonus partners.

Can my ticket be cancelled?

Tickets will only be fully refunded if they are cancelled at least 1 day before travel and you have taken the Flex Cancellation Option. If you have not taken out the payment protection, a cancellation fee of CHF 60.00 will be charged and an additional fee of 30% will be charged for cancellations between 1 and 3 days before travel. 

If you wish to cancel the tickets, please send an email to [email protected] or click here, together with your booking request (which you will find on the booking confirmation) and the names of the cancelling passengers.
