The largest tour operator for holidays in Switzerland fills key position in London

Switzerland Travel Centre: Clemens Bartlome becomes Managing Director UK

Switzerland Travel Centre, both the largest and also the official tour operator for holidays in Switzerland, has appointed a new Managing Director for their London office. Clemens Bartlome will start his new role as Managing Director UK on 1 August 2019. In his new position, the business economist will be responsible for strengthening cooperation across all locations at Switzerland Travel Centre.

Bartlome will use his experience as an entrepreneur, in marketing and in the digital world to build on the success of the already profitable subsidiary and lead it into a digitalised future. From their London office, Switzerland Travel Centre serves the important Great British, Northern Irish, Irish, Australian and Scandinavian markets among others.

Originally from Chur in Switzerland, Bartlome was most recently part of the ‘Graubünden Ferien’ management team, responsible for product and experience marketing. He began his professional career in Zurich where, as a business administration graduate, he founded a marketing agency which he led for five years as CEO. He was later involved in marketing consultancy mandates abroad before sharpening his entrepreneurial skills as a consultant for start-ups. He therefore brings valuable experience in the digital field with him to London.

“I am looking forward to this new challenge at Switzerland Travel Centre. The British, along with other important overseas markets within the Commonwealth, love Switzerland for its authenticity and nature. I am certain that we will continue to surprise our UK partners and visitors with inspirational products. The new ‘Voluntourism’ programme, where our guests can work to actively support Swiss mountain farmers during

their holiday, returning home with an authentic Swiss Alpine experience is just one such offer” explains Clemens Bartlome.

José Lamorte will continue to lead the UK subsidiary during the summer, after which time he will return to Zurich to be responsible for the Products & Groups Division.
