Mountain station, Pilatus

You can reach Pilatus summit from either Kriens or Alpnachstad. From Kriens, the panoramic gondola lift takes you via Krienseregg to Fräkmüntegg. There you change to the "Dragon Ride" aerial cableway. The journey from Kriens takes around 45 minutes. From Alpnachstad, the cog railroad takes you up to Pilatus in around 30 minutes. Please note that the cog railroad only operates from mid-May to mid-November. Combine the two options to discover even more of the breathtaking mountain world around Mount Pilatus.

Good to know
- Return journey from Kriens or Alpnachstad to Pilatus. Choose between the aerial cableway and panoramic gondola lift from Kriens or the cog railroad from Alpnachstad. A combination of the two options is possible.
- The aerial cableways operate all year round (except during maintenance work).
- The cogwheel railroad operates daily from mid-May to mid-November.
