The seats are larger and more comfortable in 1st class, with more legroom and privacy , as well as a 2+1 arrangement that offers additional comfort . The seats in 2nd class are arranged more closely with 2+2 seating and offer slightly less space and legroom. Both classes have large panoramic windows and offer dining and beverage service .

Can I choose my seat on the Glacier Express in advance?

On the Glacier Express, you can specify your seat preferences during the booking process using the comments field . As the panoramic coaches can change direction, we cannot guarantee that your seat preferences will always be met. We will try to assign you the best available seat and will inform you if no window seat is available. The view is always impressive, regardless of where you sit.

Which dining options are available on board the Glacier Express?

You can choose between a menu of the day or à la carte dishes . The options are displayed when you book. The meal is not included in the price of the seat reservation. We recommend that you make your choice directly when booking .

Where does the Glacier Express start and how do I get from the station to the hotel and vice versa?

The Glacier Express departs from Chur and Brig . The arrival and departure points in Brig are located on the station square, directly opposite the station. The route can be started in both directions – the choice is yours. In the booking process , the distance to the respective station is displayed when choosing a hotel.
