Which route do the GoldenPass trains run on?

The GoldenPass Express runs on the direct route between Interlaken and Montreux or vice versa. The journey takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes . The GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque connect Zweisimmen with Montreux or vice versa. The journey takes around 2 hours . The journey between Zweisimmen and Interlaken is by regional train with one change in Spiez and takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes .

Do the GoldenPass Panoramic trains run all year round?

Yes, the GoldenPass Express , the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque operate all year round . For more detailed information on journey times and possible disruption on the route, we advise you to consult the current timetable. To secure your seat, we also recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Can I choose the journey times myself?

For travel on the GoldenPass Express , the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque , we will reserve your seats depending on availability and in line with the travel programme . It is not possible to select a specific train when booking. However, you can indicate your preferred departure time in the comments field . We will endeavour to take these into account, but cannot guarantee them. However, you are flexible when travelling to and from your starting point and destination in Switzerland. You can choose your own connections according to the SBB timetable .

What travel classes are available on the GoldenPass Panoramic trains?

In the GoldenPass Express you have the choice between three travel classes: Prestige class , 1st class and 2nd class . The main difference between the classes lies in the seating and comfort. Prestige Class offers a more exclusive experience with heated leather seats in groups of two and four , a raised seat position of 40 cm for a better view and guaranteed seat in the direction of travel . The seating is arranged in tables of two and four in 1st class and only tables of four in 2nd class. All travel classes have the same panoramic windows . In the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Époque , you can choose between 1st and 2nd class . Can I order food on the GoldenPass panoramic trains?

These are subject to availability so we recommend selecting your preferred option when you book . Food and drinks will be served at your seat . Catering is only available to groups with an advanced booking on GoldenPass Panoramic and GoldenPass Belle Époque trains so we recommend that you bring your own snacks and drinks for these journeys.
