The Gotthard Panorama Express runs on the route from Lucerne to Lugano or vice versa. The first part of the journey takes you by boat across Lake Lucerne to Flüelen , a journey of just under 3 hours . Then take the train along the impressive Gotthard Panorama route from Flüelen to Lugano . The journey takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes . It is possible to get on or off the train along the route in Bellinzona . Please note that there is a minimum travel distance and therefore not all combinations are possible.
