Immediately after St. Gallen, it crosses the Sitter Viaduct - at 99m high, the highest railway bridge in Switzerland. On a scenic route, it takes its passengers through the foothills of the Alps to popular excursion mountains such as Rigi, Stanserhorn and Pilatus near Lake Lucerne. Sit back and enjoy the view of the striking mountains of the canton of Schwy, large and small Mythen. and over Lake Zurich as you travel along the Seedamm near Rapperswil. The Rigi mountain greets you in the distance, foreshadowing the destination of the journey, Lucerne.
