Day 1

Travel by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Schaffhausen. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Schaffhausen.

Highlights: Rhine Falls - the largest waterfall in Europe, boat trip to the Rhine Rock, medieval Old Town, Munot Fortress, boat trip to Stein am Rhein


Day 2

Rail journey Schaffhausen - Interlaken / approx. 2 h 40

Interlaken lies in the heart of the Jungfrau region and offers countless excursion possibilities. Are you more the relaxed type? Then sit back and relax on a boat trip on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz. If you want a bit more action, take advantage of the water sports on offer or listen to the roaring waters of the Trümmelbach Falls. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Interlaken.

Day 3

Rail journey Interlaken - Montreux / approx. 2 h 15

Today you are again spoilt for choice: an aperitif on a paddle steamer on Lake Geneva, a visit to the medieval Chillon Castle or enjoying the panorama from above and a trip up the Rochers-de-Naye? You decide! Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Montreux.

Day 4

Return to your starting point in Switzerland by public transport. Before you leave, it's worth visiting the interactive Chaplin's World in Vevey.
