Kandersteg is a quiet, pretty mountain vilalge with rural character and plenty of Alpine activities on offer. Marvel at the crystal clear blue of Lake Oeschinen and enjoy the fun summer toboggan run, embark on a scenic hike to Blümlisalp Hut or ride the iconic Sunnbüel cable car for panoramic vistas.
Hiking & Biking
Kandersteg boatsts over 500km of well-marked hiking trails, catering to various skill levels. Mountain bikers can explore around 200km of scenic routes promising diverse and thrilling adventures in the Swiss Alps.
Regional Passes
The Berner Oberland Regional Pass is your ticket to the whole of the Bernese Oberland plus routes further afield. It offers free transport on trains, buses, boat cruises and most mountain excursions. Available for 3, 4, 6, 8 or 10 consecutive days, it can easily be added at the end of the online booking process.
Mountain Excursions & Activities
