Day 1
Travel by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Lucerne. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Lucerne.

Day 2
Free day at your disposal in Lucerne. Use the time for an excursion to one of the surrounding mountains. The trip to the Rigi or the Stanserhorn are included in the Swiss Travel Pass Youth. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Lucerne.

Day 3
Rail journey Lucerne - Grindelwald / approx. 2 h 30
From central Switzerland, we head for the Bernese Oberland today. How about a hike on the Eiger Ultra Trail? Two hours of top-level thrills with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are guaranteed. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Grindelwald.

Day 4
Day at your own disposal in Grindelwald. Grindelwald is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions in the Jungfrau region. An excursion to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe to the highest mountain station in Europe is one of the absolute highlights of any trip to Switzerland. If you prefer to look down instead of up, take a hike through the impressive glacier gorge. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Grindelwald.

Day 5
Rail journey Grindelwald - Zermatt / approx. 3h
A visit to the mountain village of Zermatt with the world-famous Matterhorn should definitely be on every bucket list. The best view can be enjoyed from the Gornergrat. A hike to Lake Riffel is worthwhile - the reflection of the Matterhorn on the lake surface is a unique photo motif. Overnight stay in the youth hostel in Zermatt.
