When does the mountain railway go up to the Jungfraujoch?

The Jungfrau Railway runs 365 days a year. The exact departure times can be found in the corresponding valid timetable.

How much time do I need for a visit to the Jungfraujoch?

It depends on where you start from and return to and which means of transport you use.

With the Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal:
The journey from Grindelwald Terminal takes almost 1 hour there and 1 hour back (with a change on a rack railway in Eigergletscher).

With the Wengernalpbahn from Wengen:
The journey from Wengen takes 1 hour 25 minutes there and 1 hour 25 minutes back with a change at Kleine Scheidegg and Eigergletscher.

Duration of stay: Due to the various activities, we recommend a stay of at least 2 hours on the Jungfraujoch. If you want to take a break to eat in a restaurant, plan even more time.
