Corinna - Our Switzerland expert

Day 1

Individual journey to the Interlaken region. Interlaken is located in the Bernese Oberland on an alluvial plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Overlooked by the three mighty mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the town is the ideal starting point to reach the longest ice stream in Europe: the Aletsch Glacier. Overnight stay in Interlaken.

Highlights: Harder Kulm viewpoint, Lake Thun/Brienz.

Day 2

Interlaken - Jungfraujoch excursion (duration approx. 7 hours).

The Jungfrau Railway takes you to the highest railway station in Europe and offers an incredible view of the Alpine chain as well as the 22-kilometre-long Aletsch Glacier. Overnight stay in Interlaken.

Highlights: Lauterbrunnen Valley, Sea of Ice, Aletsch Glacier and Jungfraujoch, Eiger North Face.

Day 3

Interlaken - Lötschberg Tunnel - Visp - Täsch - Zermatt (journey time approx. 3 h / 120 km).

The Lötschberg tunnel connects the Bernese Oberland with Switzerland's sunniest region, the Valais. The journey is comfortable due to the car transport between Kandersteg and Goppenstein. Passing the highest vineyard in Europe, you drive through the wild and romantic Mattertal valley to Täsch. The shuttle train takes you to the car-free mountain village of Zermatt. Here you will find what is probably the most famous mountain in the world - the Matterhorn.

Highlights: Lötschberg car transport, Heida wine from the highest vineyard in Europe.
