Day 1

Journey to Meiringen

Travel by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Meiringen. Overnight stay in Meiringen.

Day 2

Meiringen – Grindelwald

The post bus takes you to Rosenlaui, from where the first hiking route via Grosse Scheidegg to Grindelwald opens, in front of the magnificent panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau triumvirate.

Day 3

Grindelwald – Wengen

The hiking route first takes you past the Eiger North Face up to Kleine Scheidegg. You will soon leave the tourist hustle and bustle behind you and hike on easy paths to Wengen.

Day 4

Wengen – Pochtenalp/Griesalp

Short detour to Lauterbrunnen and from here by train to Mürren. The trekking route leads past the Spillbodenalp to the Rotstockhütte. After a short stop for refreshments, you climb the Sefinenfurgge and descend to the Pochtenalp or Griesalp. A spectacular stretch.

Day 5

Pochtenalp/Griesalp – Kandersteg

Today you tackle the king's stage - the ascent to Hohtürli. After a long and steep ascent to 2,843 m, you will be rewarded with a fortifying lunch at the Blüemlisalphütte. Over the Hohtürli and on the moraines of the Blüemlisalp glacier you then descend to the Öschinensee. Continue to Kandersteg (alternative variant from Öschinensee: ride down to the valley on the gondola lift).

Day 6

Kandersteg – Adelboden

Take the cable car to Allmenalp, then hike up to the Bonderchrinde. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding Alpine panorama. Afterwards you hike down into the valley to Adelboden.

Day 7

Adelboden – Lenk | Departure

On the last stage you hike from the well-known winter sports resort of Adelboden over the Hahnenmoospass into the Simmental valley. After arrival in Lenk return journey by public transport to your final destination in Switzerland or extension of the stay.

Day 8

Departure or extension

Explore the surroundings and the countless hiking trails before departure. Return by public transport to your final destination in Switzerland or extend your stay (on request).

Tour characteristic

Surefootedness and good condition are mandatory. You must not be afraid of heights to go on this alpine tour. Parts of the tour can be cut short in the case of bad weather.

  • Visitor's tax, if due, not included in the tour price
  • Bookings can be accepted up to 5 working days before arrival (express fee 44.00 GBP for 5 working days before arrival)

  • Travel by post bus, mountain railways and cable cars is not included in the tour price (approx. CHF 45 per person with half-fare card)
