Day 1

Travel by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Rorschach. Overnight stay in Rorschach.

Highlights: Harbour town, cyclists' and skaters' paradise, Lake Constance

Day 2

Rorschach – Kreuzlingen/Tägerwilen

Lake Constance spurs you on and tans your head: you pedal effortlessly and exhilaratedly along the lake in the sunshine. But the cycling route is not only idyllic: if you were just enjoying the section directly on the "Swabian Sea", you will certainly soon have to take a diversion that will take you away from what feels like paradise, even if only briefly.

Day 3

Kreuzlingen/Tägerwilen – Schaffhausen

Together with the Reichenau Monastery, a former Benedictine abbey, the island of Reichenau in Constance is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also pedal through the villages of Berlingen and Steckborn with their pretty half-timbered houses. And the small town of Stein am Rhein: where the Rhine leaves Lake Constance lies this jewel with its magnificent town gates, frescoed stone and stately half-timbered houses.
