Cycling holidays Rhone route
6 days / 5 nights
The Rhone route between Oberwald and Geneva combines three very different types of landscape: In the Goms, the landscape is alpine and the route runs mostly downhill with some counter-hikes. The Rhone valley widens from Brig. Nowhere in Switzerland does the sun shine more frequently than here in Valais. Another change of scenery from Villeneuve: the wide, light-flooded expanse of Lake Geneva on one side of the route, the vineyards with ringing names on the other, accompany cyclists on their journey towards Geneva. The Rhone route offers scenic and cultural variety and the flat route profile makes it ideal for pleasure cyclists.

Tour characteristic
Hilly in the first sections in the high valley of Goms. From Brig Rhône-Route leads through flat areas and is suitable for leisure cyclists. From Sion you will have to face some headwind. A highlight is the tour through the vineyards of Lavaux. In the urban sections you will have to face some traffic and busy roads.
