Your itinerary
Day 1
Arrival by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Montreux/Vevey. The rest of the day is at your free disposal. Overnights stay in Montreux/Vevey.
Highlights: Lake Geneva, Chillon Castle, Chaplin's World, Rochers-de-Naye
Day 2
From Montreux cycle to neighbouring Vevey to take the rack railway up to Mont-Pèlerin thus avoiding a steep ascent. Tranquil roads lead from here to the region that produces the famous Gruyère cheese. Overnight stay in the Gruyères region

Day 3
Journey continues through Saanenland, with fantastic views towards the high peaks of the Alps. Overnight stay in Gstaad / Saanen / Schönried.
Highlights: fabulous cycle paths accompanied by the sound of cowbells
Day 4
Cycling in the picture-postcard region of Simmental. You will always have the option of taking the train today, as the famous GoldenPass Bahn runs more or less along the same route. Overnight stay in Interlaken/Spiez.
Highlights: Panoramic views, Lake Thun
Day 5
This day is at your free disposal to discober the region of Lake Thun. Overnight stay in Interlaken/Spiez.
Highlights: Eiger, Mönch & Jungfraujoch, signposted hiking trails, Schilthorn, Beatus Caves, Harder Kulm, Schynige Platte
Day 6
Today you cycle along the southern shore of Lake Brienz. From here you take the train to avoid the steepest climb over the Brünig Pass. Overnight stay in Sachseln/Sarnen.
Highlights: Brünig pass, Meiringen, Sherlock Holmes Museum, the Reichenbach falls and its meringue
Day 7
Follow the shores of Lake Sarnen towards Mount Pilatus, Lucerne’s house mountain. At its foot you will have reached the shores of Lake Lucerne and can cycle along its shore, bay after bay, towards Lucerne. Overnight stay in Lucerne.
Highlights: Lake Sarnen, Chapel Bridge
Day 8
Mountain excursions, lake cruises, city tours, museum visits – there is a multitude of activities available in this popular lakeside resort. Overnight stay in Lucerne.
Highlights: Pilatus, Rigi, Stanserhorn, Verkehrshaus Luzern
Day 9
Return trip by public transport from Luzern to your final destination in Switzerland or extend your stay.
