Day 1

Arrival in Scuol | Scuol - Tschierv

Luggage collection in Scuol-Tarasp. Wonderful ascent through the unspoilt Val S-charl on the eastern edge of the National Park. Past the pretty hamlet of S-charl and the highest Swiss stone pine forest in Europe. Single trail through pine trees shortly before the Pass da Costainas, later through larch forests, over the Lü sun terrace into the Münstertal.

Details: approx. 30 km (single trails: 4 km) á 1'200 hm â 820 m

Biken über den Pass da Costainas

Day 2

Tschierv - Livigno

Ascent through sparse larch forest into the mystical Val Mora: high valley close to the sky, one of the most beautiful valleys in Switzerland. The wilderness of Canada seems close enough to touch. Stony trail down to Italy, pretty path along glittering lakes.

Details: approx. 40 km (single trails: 7 km) ↑ 1'150 hm ↓ 1'050 m

Two mountainbikers in Val Müstair in Summer.

Day 3

Livigno - St. Moritz

Three passes await on the way back to Switzerland, but only one real climb. From the Bernina Pass, it rolls along as if by magic, through mountain meadows and larch forests, past the magnificent glacier scenery of Piz Palü and Piz Bernina to St. Moritz.

Details: approx. 45 km (single trails: 13 km) ↑ 1'210 hm ↓ 1'150 m

St. Moritz in Summer.

Day 4

St. Moritz - Bivio

Picturesque nature trails along the Upper Engadine lakes, beautiful single trail with far-reaching views above Isola. From Val Bregaglia an old mule track leads over the Septimerpass and demands everything from even the best bikers. Carrying passages are unavoidable here.

Details: approx. 40 km (single trails: 6 km) ↑ 1'515 hm ↓ 1'675 m

Mountain Bikers carrying their bikes.

Day 5

Bivio - Tiefencastel

The forest road out of the valley is fast, the counter-ascent at Sur is crisp, the section along the Roman Septimer route on a terrace high above the valley floor is tranquil, and the single trail descent with fantastic views is excellent.

Details: approx. 35 km (single trails: 2 km) ↑ 735 hm ↓ 1'655 m

Julierpass near Bivio in Summer.

Day 6

Tiefencastel - Turrahus

Short single trail through the wild Albulatobel up to the Mistail church, tunnel and rough root trail to Muldain, high above the Albula gorge, long climb to the Glaspass, downhill fun for experienced riders then on the old mule track to Safien Platz.

Details: approx. 38 km (single trails: 3 km) ↑ 1’850 hm ↓ 1'400 m

Two bikers near Val Chaschauna in Grisons.

Day 7

Turrahus - Lumbrein

Biking in the footsteps of the Walsers: gentle approach through the mystical Safiental, steep ascent on the "Polenweg" to the biker highlight Tomülpass, wonderful descent to Vals. And finally, peaceful pedalling in the remote Val Lumnezia.

Details: approx. 50 km (single trails: 3 km) ↑ 1'950 hm ↓ 1'850 m

Two bikers enjoying lunch in Val Trupschun in Grisons.

Day 8

Lumbrein - Disentis

Long ascent from the quiet Val Lumnezia to Alp Sezner. The descent on gentle meadow trails into the Surselva is like flying. From Trun it rolls along the Vorderrhein with its gravel banks and islets in cool alluvial forests.

Details: approx. 43 km (single trails: 3 km) ↑ 1'300 hm ↓ 1'700 m

The village of Disentis with church.

Day 9

Disentis - Andermatt | Departure

The ascent to Uaul Cavorgia is sweaty but rewarding in terms of flora and panoramic views. The Val Maighels becomes increasingly barren towards the Oberalp Pass, then really high alpine. The great single trail requires the best biking technique. After arrival in Andermatt individual departure.

Details: approx. 45 km (single trails: 10 km) ↑ 2'100 hm ↓ 1'700 m

Two bikers in Val Mora Grisons.
