Travel by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Romanshorn. Overnight stay in Romanshorn.
Highlights: Port city, cycling and hiking paradise, Lake Constance
Romanshorn – Kreuzlingen/Tägerwilen
Lake Constance spurs you on and tans your head: you pedal effortlessly and exhilaratedly along the lake in the sunshine. But the cycling route is not only idyllic: if you were just enjoying the section directly on the "Swabian Sea", you will certainly soon have to take a diversion that will take you away from what feels like paradise, even if only briefly.
Details: approx. 35 - 45 km ↑ 195 - 225 m ↓ 190 - 225 m
Kreuzlingen/Tägerwilen – Schaffhausen
Together with the Reichenau Monastery, a former Benedictine abbey, the island of Reichenau in Constance is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also pedal through the villages of Berlingen and Steckborn with their pretty half-timbered houses. And the small town of Stein am Rhein: where the Rhine leaves Lake Constance lies this jewel with its magnificent town gates, frescoed stone and stately half-timbered houses.

Schaffhausen – Bad Zurzach
In the middle of Switzerland's northernmost city is the Munot, Schaffhausen's landmark. In Neuhausen you will see the Rhine Falls, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. A little further on, the Rhine flows calmly again and it's great fun to ride this section of the trail along with it.
Details: approx. 50 km ↑ 570 m ↓ 620 m
Bad Zurzach – Rheinfelden
The stage starts in the wellness oasis of Bad Zurzach and leads to the 4-bridge village of Koblenz, near the Klingnau reservoir. The picturesque town of Laufenburg is soon followed by the stage destination of Rheinfelden, the oldest Zähringer town in Switzerland.
Details: approx. 55 km ↑ 305 m ↓ 375 m
Rheinfelden - Basel
Cycling where the ancient Romans lived and played theatre: Augusta Raurica with its silver treasure. The agglomeration is already vibrating, the asphalt sweating, the commuter groaning. The Rhine metropolis beckons with bustle, culture and hustle and bustle - a real "Basel treat".
