Are there fixed times for trains and excursions?

Your stay offers maximum flexibility . After arriving in by public transport, you can plan your days as you wish. With the Bernese Oberland Pass, available as an option on the booking , you can use mountain railways free of charge and explore hiking trails and excursion destinations in the region at your own pace. Whether hiking, taking panoramic journeys or relaxing – you decide how you want to spend your time. No seat reservation is necessary and you can select your conveniently choose your preferred connections via the SBB app or online .

What is included in the Bernese Oberland Pass?

The Bernese Oberland Pass offers free travel on most train, bus and boat lines from Bern, Lucerne, Saanen, Domodossola, Montreux and throughout the Bernese Oberland. You can also use over 25 mountain railways , including cable cars and cogwheel railways. The pass also includes boat trips on Lakes Thun and Brienz. The journey to the Jungfraujoch is included up to Grindelwald/Wengen. After that, there is a 25% discount on the journey to the Eigergletcher and the A final ticket to the Jungfraujoch is available at a special price . The pass is available for 3, 4, 6, 8 or 10 consecutive days . Add it on at the end of your booking and experience the Bernese Oberland stress-free by train, bus, boat and mountain railway.

What can I do in bad weather?

In bad weather, the mountain lifts are usually still in operation , but there may be restrictions. Alternatively, you can take advantage of indoor activities and local events , such as museum visits or wellness offers . It's best to find out about current events and all weather offers locally at the tourist office .

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment. Demand is particularly high for the high season (see above). You can book your package online at the touch of a button or via our travel experts .
