Switzerland Travel Centre – the largest tour operator for holidays in Switzerland – regularly publishes its booking figures, providing an indicative forecast of international demand for travel to Switzerland.

Changes to the Board of Directors at Switzerland Travel Centre
Switzerland Travel Centre is strengthening its Board of Directors with two experienced figures from the fields of tourism, marketing and finance. Sandra Zenhäusern and Sandro Held have been newly elected to the Board of Directors, succeeding Piotr Caviezel and Simon Berger respectively.

Financial year 2025 – the most successful year in our history
Switzerland Travel Centre can look back on a successful financial year in 2025. With a booking volume of CHF 136 million, the Switzerland specialist significantly exceeded the previous year’s result and achieved growth of around 15%. Sustained high demand from international markets, as well as the popularity of rail tours and Swiss Travel Passes, contributed significantly to this positive result.

Markus Kohli to become new CEO of Switzerland Travel Centre
Markus Kohli (52) is taking over as CEO of Switzerland Travel Centre. He has many years of experience in the Swiss travel industry, including from his work in product and retail at TUI Suisse.  Most recently, he spent four years as CEO of Knecht Reisen AG in Windisch, Switzerland. He succeeds Michael Maeder, who successfully led Switzerland Travel Centre for 14 years.

After 14 years as CEO of Switzerland Travel Centre (STC), Michael Maeder has decided to leave the tour operator at the end of June. The search for a successor has begun.

Switzerland Travel Centre expands management team and strengthens corporate culture
The leading tour operator for Switzerland is expanding its management team and focussing on personnel continuity and new incentives. Andrea Maffioletti, member of the Executive Board and the new Head of People, Culture & Organisation, and Sarah Peyrard, Co-Head of Contracting, are two experienced personalities taking on key roles. Both embody the strong corporate culture that already exists at Switzerland Travel Centre (STC), but which will more particularly be promoted in the future.

Change at the top for the Board of Directors of Switzerland Travel Centre
After 13 years on the Board of Directors of Switzerland Travel Centre, including seven as Chairman, Thomas Allemann is stepping down and passing the baton to Brigitte Berger Kurzen. Together with Barbara Friedrich, with whom she was elected to the Board of Directors, the new President represents the interests of HotellerieSuisse with the Switzerland tour operator. The Board of Directors is thus being restructured with a clear focus on the further growth of hotel, rail and tour packages.

Switzerland Travel Centre reports record sales for the 2024 financial year
Switzerland Travel Centre posted a record result for 2024, with a 7% increase to 118 million Swiss Francs. North American demand grew, and multi-day panoramic train tours stayed popular. Management changes are expected in 2025.

Switzerland Travel Centre presents its new website at switzerlandtravelcentre.com. The new platform focuses strongly on online sales and customers can tailor itineraries to their individual preferences when booking directly on the website.
